Musings, Technology and The Gospel

So there was been a lot of talk in the media lately about live blogging… CoverItLive seems to be a big player in this field.
What about the idea of LiveBlogging a church meeting? Or perhaps Stake Conference. This could allow us to reach people that are further away. I’m pretty sure there is an audio feed in the family-history library (at least in our building) where there is internet connection.
What do you think?

One Response for "Live Blog Church Meetings for People at Home"
An interesting idea – areas of concern that would definitely crop up would be
1. A lot of the people not attending likely fall in the category of not savvy computer users and so that hurdle would have to be overcome.
2. Perhaps even more important is that with LiveBlogging what you are getting is the person blogging it providing their view of what is being said. So the message going out to others is being interpreted by the Live Blogger. While that might be fine if I am doing it for my grandmother’s benefit it may not be appropriate for my thoughts and comments about the topic that the speaker is addressing being delivered to a stake as a whole. This would obviously only be an issue if the Live Blogging was being done in an official capacity.
