A while ago I heard about a great HT/VT reporting application that was developed by Brad Oldham.  He set up a system to send out e-mails to automatically remind members of the ward about HT assignments and allow them an easy online way to report that data back.

I was excited about the idea, but to do it required exporting your data from MLS and importing onto an external server, so a lot of people bawlked at it… in fact there was a LONG (28 page discussion about it) and in the end it appeared the project was going to die because of church policies and people not being ready for it (I’m sure there is more to that… perhaps you can enlighten me in the comments).  

I lost contact for a while and then today this post shows up on the forums….

I guess Brad has continued to work on it (it really is a GREAT project) Here is a screen-shot of the front page (in LDS.org design).  Nice.

I sure would like to see a nice project like this.  Here is a GREAT example of someone taking the initiative to create something that was needed.  Implement it!  :)   It will make life so much easier for so many people.
